• Select foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, low fat dairy products and meat.

• Eat fewer pastries, pies and candy as they have high sugar contents.
• Try to eat 5 total vegetable and fruit serving every day.

A final note to remember, don't expect any weight loss program to produce miraculous, instantaneous results. A good goal is to target a loss of 2-4 pounds each week. That is generally considered safe and healthy rate to lose weight over the long-term.
